You know, friendship, enemies… both matter, see?

Don't be too quick to judge; that's how it has to be.

A friend gets mad? Well, maybe it won't last.

Don't blow it up just yet; hold on real fast.

Maybe they just rushed, you know how that can go.

Offended you, didn't mean to, kinda low…

They fess up, say they messed up, straight and true?

Don't keep on hammering; there's nothing to do.

We get old, though. Fall apart, it's how it goes.

Those years just roll on by; everyone knows.

Losing friends? Happens as easy as we breathe.

Finding new ones? A whole lot harder, I believe.

So hey, I'm asking, don't be a tough guy now.

Show some kindness, lift those burdens from your brow.

There aren't endless friends, not on this old Earth,

Care for them now; because friendship is birth.

I had my own rules, thought I knew the way.

Saw weakness? Thought it had to go away.

So many friends just vanished from my life…

So many left because I got in the strife.

There were others later, yeah, there always are.

And on those twisty roads, I felt that kind of scar.

Repenting now, for what I did and said

Missing those lost friends instead.

I thirst to see your faces now all as one,

Those who loved me, before the day was done.

Those who were unforgiven by me, I could not take

Or not having forgiven me, a heartbreak!
