Lyrics
Intro – solo violin tremolo + distant thunder, filtered piano creeps in
Verse 1 – strings + light trap hats
Energy too strong
Watch your whole life transform
Sound too warm
Make your backbone swarm
Take my song
Play it loud in your house, come on
Leave the blinds open
Let the neighbors see you lose control on the couch
And it’s just the way I like it
You know I can’t deny it
I ain’t no psychic
But your body’s already decided
Pre-Chorus – orchestra swell + 808 slide
Go on and put your foot down
Baby, don’t look now…
Chorus Drop 1 – massive French-trap orchestral explosion: sidechained strings, brass hits, trap snare rolls, supersaw choir
But I think you’re falling
And it’s a long way down
Falling
And it’s a long way down
Falling
And it’s a long way down
Falling
No safety net around
Verse 2 – piano house chords + trap hi-hats
Could this be love?
Could this be the way you want it?
Could this be the stuff
You’ve been praying for in secret?
Could this be us?
‘Cause I want it bad
And it’s just the way I like it
You know I can’t deny it
I ain’t no psychic
But your heartbeat just confessed it
Pre-Chorus 2 – bigger brass + reverse-reverb riser
Go on and put your foot down
Baby, don’t look now…
Chorus Drop 2 – key change up, double orchestra + trap 808s, robot French “tombe… tombe…”
But I think you’re falling
And it’s a long way down
Falling
And it’s a long way down
Falling
No turning back now
Falling
Let the whole world hear the sound
Bridge – strings hold one massive chord, heartbeat kick only
Close your eyes…
Let gravity do the rest…
Final Mega Drop – absolute orchestral-trap-house chaos
Falling
And it’s a long way down
Falling
Love’s a long way down
Falling
And it’s a long way down
Falling
Catch me on the way down
Falling… falling… falling…
Outro – solo violin descends, final 808 thud
Long way down…
But I’ll meet you there.
