๐ The Wild Rover ๐ - by The Leprechaun Fam
Create a high-energy Irish Folk Trap track with bodhrรกn-inspired kick patterns, tight 808 subbass, crisp snare rolls, and distorted Celtic percussion. Add low fiddle drones, bright tin-whistle riffs, mandolin chops, and rowdy Irish pub crowd shouts to build a traditional tavern atmosphere. Vocals should feature a deep male Irish-accented rap, rhythmic and storytelling, layered with Gaelic female chants and shouted male group refrains. The mood is rowdy, ancestral, humorous, and triumphantโmixing classic Irish folk melodies with modern trap punch. Warm analog reverb, spacious fiddles, punchy low end, and centered vocals complete the sound.

Intro
Verse 1
Leprechaun G
Iโve been a wild rover for manyโs the year,
and I spent all my money on whiskey and beer.
And now Im returning with gold in great store,
and I never will play the wild rover no more.
Chorus
Leprechaun G
And itโs no, nay, never!
No, nay, never, no more,
will I play the wild rover.
No never no more!
Verse 2
Leprechaun Queen
I went to an alehouse I used to frequent,
and I told the landlady me money was spent.
I asked her for credit, she answered me โnay,
such a custom as yours I could have any dayโ.
Chorus
Leprechaun Queen
And itโs no, nay, never!
No, nay, never, no more,
will I play the wild rover.
No (nay) never no more!
Verse 3
Leprechaun G
I pulled from me pocket a handful of gold,
and on the round table it glittered and rolled.
She said โI have whiskeys and wines of the best,
and the words that I told you were only in jestโ.
Chorus
Leprechaun G
And itโs no, nay, never!
No, nay, never, no more,
will I play the wild rover.
No never no more!
Solo
Verse 4
Leprechaun Queen
Iโll have none of your whiskeys nor fine Spanish wines,
For your words show you clearly as no friend of mine.
There's others most willing to open a door,
To a man coming home from a far distant shore.
Chorus
Leprechaun Queen
And itโs no, nay, never!
No, nay, never, no more,
will I play the wild rover.
No never no more!
Short Solo
Verse 5
Leprechaun G
Iโll go home to me parents, confess what Iโve done,
and Iโll ask them to pardon their prodigal son.
And if they forgive me as oft times before,
I never will play the wild rover no more.
Chorus
Leprechaun Queen
And itโs no, nay, never!
No, nay, never, no more,
will I play the wild rover.
No never no more!
Outro
Leprechaun G
And itโs no, nay, never!
No, nay, never, no more,
will I play the wild rover.
No never no more!
Leprechaun G & Leprechaun Queen
And itโs no, nay, never!

will I play the wild rover.
No never no more!
