천하가 그를 우러러 보네.

그는 바다의 용, 해룡(海龍)이라 불렸어.

거친 파도 잠재우고 폭풍을 다스리네.

그 깃발 아래 순종하라, 저 바다여~!

이 물결의 주인은 오직 단 한사람.

허나 경도(京都)의 그림자 길어지고

시기의 칼날은 등을 겨누네

왕의 충신인가, 바다의 주인인가

의심의 바람이 불어왔지.

믿었던 칼에 쓰러지는 순간에도

그 눈은 바다를 향해 있었네.

몸은 재가 되어 흩어질지라도

이 혼은 파도 위에 영원하리라.

The flags of Cheonghaejin danced on the wind,

The seas of three kingdoms opened for him.

As the wealth of the world gathered there,

All the world looked up to him in awe.

He was the Dragon of the Sea, called the Haeryong.

Taming the violent waves, ruling o'er the storm.

Obey beneath his flag, oh mighty sea~!

For the master of these waves is one man, and one alone.

But the shadow of the Capital grew long,

And the blades of envy aimed right for his back.

"A loyal subject, or the master of the sea?"

The winds of doubt and suspicion blew.

Even as he fell by a trusted blade,

His eyes were turned toward the sea.

Though his body may scatter into ash,

His soul on the waves will live forevermore.
