Rebirth

Dark cinematic alt-R&B with slow burn intensity, 74Bpm, A minor key, female-led vocals, emotional rawness, themes of survival, isolation, rebirth, starts minimal and fragile, gradually building into powerful, controlled strength, dark alt-R&B, cinematic ambient, and subtle industrial textures. Sparse piano, distant pads, low sub bass, heartbeat percussion, swelling strings in final chorus, ambient room tone, hospital-like emptiness, rebirth has consequences:grit, calmness, resolve, no shame, authentic sauce in classic AdiraAboveGround style [IS_MAX_MODE: MAX] (Max) [QUALITY: MAX] (Max) [REALISM: MAX] (Max) [REAL_INSTRUMENTS: MAX] (Max) [DYNAMICS: WIDE] (Wide)

Lyrics

That video was taken before even more complications. I had plastic surgery 3/4/26 - incision sternum to pelvic bone and buttock to buttock. 7lbs of skin & tissue removed after losing 150lbs on my own without weight loss surgery. I couldn’t do anything but lie in a bed for days. I couldn’t do anything for myself and people disappeared. My best friend had to go to California to attend a memorial service. I couldn’t eat, shower or care for myself. I made it to a commode next to my bed, that’s it. And when I could do more, I did. The silence almost buried me. Now the people in my life want a piece of this new body when they couldn’t even pick up the phone? I’m a changed person.

[Intro – whispered, distant]
No one came
No one called
Just the sound of my body breaking through it all

[Verse 1]
Stitches pulled every breath I thought I couldn’t take
Tiles cold against my cheek for days
Learned the weight of silence in that room
Ticking clocks that never moved

Water running, I couldn’t stand
Shaking like a stranger in my own hands
Mirror showed a ghost I didn’t know
Held together just enough to not let go

[Pre-Chorus - slight widening, stereo spread begins]
Fever dreams and hunger pains
Counting cracks inside my brain
Praying just to see the light
Of another morning I might fight

[Chorus - reverb opens up, space feels bigger]
I was crawling on a broken floor
Half a body, barely more
No one there to hear me breathe
No one there to grieve for me

But I made it through the fire alone
Built my spine again out of stone
I already knew what I’m made of
But I know I’m the aftermath of self-love

Rebirth…
I died again just to become her

[Verse 2]
Days without a voice but mine
Echoes turning into lifelines
Every step a war I chose
Learning how to recompose

Skin that carries what I paid
Every scar a vow remade
You don’t get to touch what you didn’t save
You don’t get to claim what you wouldn’t brave

[Pre-Chorus - slight widening, stereo spread begins]
I see it crystal clear
Who stayed gone, who disappeared
Silence louder than my screams
Cut the ties that bled through me

[Chorus - reverb opens up, space feels bigger]
I was crawling on a broken floor
Half a body, barely more
No one there to hear me breathe
No one there to grieve for me

But I made it through the fire alone
Built my spine again out of stone
I already knew what I’m made of
But now I know I’m the aftermath of self-love

Rebirth…
I died again just to become her

[Bridge – whispered/spoken word, calm, grounded, almost cold]
I remember the hunger…
The way pain tasted like metal…

No hands reached for me
No voices said my name

So I did…
I reached for myself

I held the line
I became the help
I became the witness

I became… everything

[Break – stripped, almost acapella]
No more pieces left to give
No more ways for any of you to live inside me
Kindness has a boundary now
Love don’t mean you get to bleed me

[Final Chorus – bigger, resolved]
I could only lie there but now I stand
Rebuilt by my own two hands
Every scar a sacred truth
Every loss rewrote my proof

You don’t get this version free
She was forged in agony
I know what I’m made of
I survived the absence of love

Rebirth…
I live because I chose to

[Outro – calm, distant, powerful]
Friendly don’t mean access anymore…
And this body?
This life?

Closed…
For business.
