Woke up thinkin’ I’d do somethin’ today…

Woke up late, sun comin’ through the blinds

Told myself “man, don’t waste this time”

Got one thing ‘round three o’clock

Ain’t much, but it’s all I got

Sat on the edge of the bed too long

TV on but the sound feels wrong

Whole day’s gone and I ain’t moved

Just waitin’ on somethin’ I gotta do

Keep lookin’ at the clock like it might run fast

But it just keeps draggin’ me back

I’ve been stuck in waitin’ mode all week

Watchin’ days get away from me

Got the time, but I can’t use it

Don’t know why I always lose it

Same old couch, same TV glow

Same damn feelin’ I can’t let go

I keep sayin’ I’ll change soon

But I don’t

Wednesday night, I gave it a shot

Picked it up, then I just stopped

Put it down like it weighed a ton

Hell, I don’t know why I run

Thursday hits and it starts to sink

All the things I said I’d be

They don’t look much like me right now

And I don’t know how

Friday night, hear trucks roll by

People laughin’, livin’ life

I could go, I could get out

I just sit here on this couch

Every day I swear I’ll try

Every night just slips on by

I’ve been stuck in waitin’ mode all week
