Rain falls gentle on my face

Washing off the final trace

Of your memory from my mind

In this storm a peace I find

Heart once heavy now feels light

Clouds above are dull but bright

Tears and raindrops blend as one

Healing started since you’re gone

In the rain the pain subsides

No more tears that need to hide

Say goodbye to all the strain

Finding solace in the rain

Lonely whispers of the breeze

Whistle through the autumn trees

No more shadows in my way

Morning breaks with brand new day

Footprints fade on muddy ground

Voice of hope the only sound

Night of sorrow can’t remain

Sunlight follows after rain

In the rain the pain subsides

No more tears that need to hide

Say goodbye to all the strain

Finding solace in the rain
