Where age could rest and still command

Too old they say too old to be

But I see life in every tree

Not dead not gone just left behind

A world too rushed to read the lines

The mirror shows the years I've worn

Each wrinkle speaks of nights forlorn

But wisdom's voice it fades away

When youth decides who gets to stay

Society it spins so fast

It casts its elders in the past

But every soul deserves its light
