I woke to the shatter of dawn,

Bound to glass walls that whisper screams.

Echoes carve through hollow halls,

Razor-sharp and torn at the seams.

You were there, but lost in fear,

Something lurks beneath my grin.

Scratching deep, it twists, it writhes—

A voice I cannot silence within.

I woke under the weight of heavy thoughts,

A cage of sorrow, rusted and worn.

The night still lingers in my breath,

And I drift where the shadows are born.

Falling under, breaking apart,

Splintering bones in a hollowed heart.

Fading into fractured dust,

I know the steel will turn to rust.

I know these chains won’t set me free.

I woke to a world in flames,

The sky was screaming, wild and deranged.

I woke to the echoes of madness and pain,

Dragged through the dark by the fire.

I woke up screaming,

Torn from my dreams and cast away.

I woke up drowning in who I was,

And what remains of me today?

When I devours the ashes of time,

Yesterday burns in the embers’ glow.
