**“Christmas Is About Christ”**
Cathedral-bright handbells, male and female choir in tight a cappella voicings. Starts hushed and weary, then swells into a bold, almost gospel-inflected chorus with call-and-response. Occasional unison lines punch through before opening back into rich harmonies and a final meditative cadence on the title phrase.

Another sale
Another list
Another "look what I bought"
As if that’s all this is
Tired eyes
Tired smile
Same small talk in every aisle
"Did you see my tree?
Did you hear what it cost me?"
My patience hanging by a thread
While they brag about the bills
Not the Bread
I’m standing in a crowded room
But I feel alone in this noise
Christmas is about Christ
Not the price
Not the hype
Not the lights
I’m done pretending this is fine
When we’ve pushed Him all aside
Talk of gifts
Talk of gains
Talk of wine
But not one word of the gift of life
My heart is shouting in my chest
Christmas is about Christ
Office games
One more toast
Counting parties like they’re posts
"Can you top this year?
Got my bonus
Bought their cheer"
Ten-foot wish list
Credit cards
Smiles built on borrowed hearts
We’re piling boxes to the sky
While the manger’s out of sight
Christmas is about Christ
Not the price
Not the hype
Not the lights
I’m done pretending this is fine
When we’ve pushed Him all aside
Talk of gifts
Talk of gains
Talk of wine
But not one word of the gift of life
[hand bells brighten
Voices rise]
Where is the child
Laid in the straw
Where is the wonder
Where is the awe
Talk about love
Talk about truth
Talk about mercy
Breaking through
If we say His name
Let it cut through the noise
Let it change what we choose
Strip it back
Clear the lies
Lay it down
Lift your eyes
All I want
All I cry
All I’ll stand for
All my life
Christmas is about Christ
