I left a twenty by the door last night

It's missing now no clue in sight

Maybe the wind took it for a ride

Or did it find a place to hide

I asked my cat but she just yawned

Detective cat could not respond

The mailman shrugged he had no clue

A mystery growing out of view

Oh where did my twenty go

Like a ghost it disappeared

Searching high and searching low

The truth remains unclear

Could it be my neighbor’s plot

A secret plan I had forgot

Or is it playing hide and seek

An adventure wild and sleek

Looking through the window pane

To the sidewalk and the lane

No sign no trace to be seen

A vanishing act pristine

Maybe the dog walker knows

Or the garden gnome in his rose

Solving puzzles in my brain
