lost in the haze

Walking ruins of words,

soft shadows on the street,

your steps fading slow,

never quite coming home,

never quite coming home...

If your heart stays still,

and the world turns cold and white

listen close...

beneath the silence

I’m still here,

still here...

I’m not asking why,

I’m not chasing time,

just want to sit beside you

in the garden after rain

watching wildflowers bloom,

names forgotten

in the fading light.

Not to break the quiet,

not to wake the past,

I’m the soil beneath

waiting for echoes

that never last.

If all this is snow

dancing in slow motion

let me stay the ground,

let me hold the quiet,

hold the quiet...

Maybe I once existed,

maybe I still do

even if you never call,

I am still...

still here.
