Lyrics
Death, as seen in the Tarot, is not the annihilation of being, but the sacred veil of change. It is the silent threshold between form and formlessness, the dissolution of the known so the unknown may speak.
René Guénon reminded us that nothing truly dies; all things are in becoming, an eternal movement beyond fixed states. What appears to perish is only returning to its principle, shedding form like a serpent sheds its skin, revealing the Real beneath the illusion.
Nāgārjuna, the Middle Way master, taught that all phenomena are śūnya, empty of inherent self, and thus constantly transforming. There is no fixed substance, no static “I”. What we call “death” is only a pause in the flux, a turning of the wheel.
Buddhism calls it anicca, or impermanence, the truth that all compounded things must fade. But in this fading, there is no tragedy. There is liberation... The falling leaf is not lost, but becomes the soil of new birth.
Modern science, surprisingly, echoes these ancient insights through its understanding of biology. Our bodies are in a state of continuous transformation. Every day, countless cells die and are replaced by new ones. Our skin cells are completely renewed every few weeks, and even our bones are entirely rebuilt over a period of about ten years. This constant cellular turnover means that the physical "you" of today is not the exact same "you" of last year, or even last month. It's a continuous, biological death and rebirth at a microscopic level.
Similarly, each night when we fall into deep sleep, our conscious minds "die" to the world, only to be reborn with a fresh perspective upon awakening. This daily cycle mirrors the larger transformations symbolized by the Death card.
So let Death speak, not with fear, but with fire. Let it burn away the false. Let it clear the haze. For in the Tarot, Death rides not to destroy, but to cleanse, to remind us that the garden grows by pruning, and that silence gives birth to song.
Embrace the transformation. For it is only by "dying", again and again, that we remember who we truly are...
👽: In essence, death doesn't literally mean the death of the physical body, but the end of a cycle and a new beginning. Sometimes, it's the end of a relationship; other times, it's a job change. This is the inexorable law of becoming... Resistance to change, a Saturnine mental aspect, will only cause more suffering. Know when to let go, when necessary... 🥀🌀🌹

Lyrics:
Verse
In the shadows
I stand tall
Nothing’s there
Nothing at all
Change is coming
Hear the call
In the dark
We might fall
Verse 2
Endings whisper
Softly near
Not to fear
Not to fear
New beginnings
Crystal clear
Close your eyes
Shed your tears
Chorus
Tarot speaks
Death’s embrace
Time to leave
Find your place
Rebirth waits
A new phase
Wipe the past
Clear the haze
Bridge
Silent night
Cold as stone
Transformation
Flesh and bone
All alone
But not unknown
Feel the shift
Down to your clone
Verse 3
Every dawn
A chance to bloom
Shake the weight
Leave the gloom
From the grave
Life resumes
Life anew
Fills the room
Chorus
Tarot speaks
Death’s embrace
Time to leave
Find your place
Rebirth waits
A new phase
Wipe the past
Clear the haze
Outro - Spoken
Death is not the end... It's transformation...
