Lyrics
Verse 1
Through the static on the airwaves, I can hear a distant cry,
Winter winds on frozen rooftops, carry stories to the sky.
Lines are drawn in burning fields where the wheat once used to grow,
And the earth remembers footsteps of the ones we used to know.
Pre-Chorus
We watch from far, yet feel the flame,
The map is changing, but the heart’s the same.
Chorus
Shadows over the dawn,
But the light keeps reaching on,
Every heartbeat feels the cost,
Every soul counts what is lost.
Though the darkness takes its claim,
Hope still whispers through the rain.
Verse 2
Children dream in muted colors, where the sirens paint the night,
Mothers hold the smallest hands, keeping candles out of sight.
And here at home, the headlines burn, but the coffee still is warm,
I wonder how we walk so still, while the world’s caught in the storm.
Pre-Chorus
The river flows through every land,
It binds us all with unseen hands.
Chorus
Shadows over the dawn,
But the light keeps reaching on,
Every heartbeat feels the cost,
Every soul counts what is lost.
Though the darkness takes its claim,
Hope still whispers through the rain.
Bridge (spoken over soft instrumentation)
Somewhere, a promise waits…
Not in borders or flags,
But in the meeting of eyes, unafraid.
In the simple truth that we are one
Under the same rising sun.
Final Chorus
Shadows over the dawn,
But the light keeps reaching on,
Through the cries and through the pain,
Something pure will yet remain.
Though the night is deep and long,
We will write tomorrow’s song.
