I keep a list of things I shouldn’t say,

Scratched in the margins of yesterday.

The pills, the prayers, the sleepless nights,

The way the dark feels safer than the light.

Oh, I wear my sadness like a second skin,

But I’m learning how to breathe again.

The weight of the world don’t fit in my hands,

But I’m still standing…

I am not broken, just a little bent,

A mosaic of the love and the damage spent.

The waves keep crashing, but I’m learning how to swim,

Yeah, I’m still here—guess I’m tougher than I think.

They say, "Just smile, it’s all in your head,"

Like I can flip a switch and leave the dread.

But every step’s a war I’ve had to win,

And healing’s not a race—it’s a discipline.

Oh, I’ve been the ghost, I’ve been the flame,

I’ve been the wreck, I’ve been the name.

But the night don’t last, and the dawn’s my friend,

And I’ll fight like hell to see the light again.

Maybe tomorrow feels less like a knife,

Maybe the weight won’t cost me my life.
