Smiled when I broke just to call it “pretty.”

They gave me rules that never made sense,

Then blamed me when I climbed the fence.

I’m tired of learning pain by heart,

Of calling chaos some kind of art.

Nobody taught me how to stay,

When everything good fades away.

Nobody taught me how to fight,

Without losing sleep at night.

They said “you’ll grow, you’ll understand,”

But I’m still lost, head in my hands.

Nobody taught me this

Living hurts, and love exists.

They said “you’ll heal,” like it’s a phase,

But scars don’t care about time or days.

I’ve tried to pray, I’ve tried to scream,

Both sound the same inside a dream.

Maybe the point was just to break,

To see how much a soul can take.

Maybe we’re all just faking grace,

While falling flat on our own face.

Nobody taught me how to care,

Without burning out somewhere.

Nobody taught me how to live,

Without giving more than I can give.

If pain’s the price for truth like this,

Then maybe I was born for this

Nobody taught me this.

So here I stand, no map, no vow
