This song is born as a direct dialogue with Pablo Picasso - "The Old Guitarist" and with the darkest period of his life, marked by poverty, solitude, and the loss of a close friend. The lyrics and the musical atmosphere dive into this state of silent mourning, where art emerges as a last refuge against both material and emotional misery. The blue that permeates the song symbolizes not only sadness, but also the void left by absence, the guilt of the survivor, and the feeling of continuing to live when someone deeply loved could not.
More than a historical narrative, the song speaks to universal values: the strength of friendship, the devastating impact of depression, the pain of loss, and the fragile dignity of those who live on the margins. The old guitarist represents all those who carry the weight of life in their bodies and memories, yet still find in art a form of resistance. This music invites the listener to look at these human wounds with empathy, reminding us that even in misery and silence, creation can be a profound act of survival.

París me ahogó, luz y hambre cruda
Azul, siempre azul
El viejo guitarrista
En esta llanura
