BE KIND, TENDERHEARTED, FORGIVE

In a world that’s running fast, chasing after empty things,

So many wounded hearts are carrying invisible chains.

We can know a thousand words, we can speak a thousand creeds,

But love is what reveals the life that every soul still needs.

A gentle word can heal a scar,

A helping hand can change a life,

The Spirit’s voice is calling us

To shine His love into the night.

Be kind, be tenderhearted,

Let compassion lead the way.

Forgive one another freely,

Just as God forgave that day.

Let the light within you shine,

Let His love be seen and known.

The greatest proof of heaven’s life

Is the love that we have shown.

It’s easy to remember hurts, to replay yesterday’s pain,

To build a wall around our hearts and hide behind the shame.

But mercy opens prison doors that bitterness has made,

And forgiveness breaks the darkness where resentment likes to stay.

We don’t forgive because it’s earned,

We don’t forgive because it’s fair,

We forgive because we’ve tasted grace,

And God’s own love is living there.
