When I woke up this morning,

a large grey cloud floated by my window at dawn.

I said hi, opened my window,

and he floated in and stayed with me.

I walked with a large grey cloud above me.

A blue bird lowered its head with a look of quiet sorrow

when he saw me and my large cloud passing by.

A white swan flew by and saw us;

she forgot to flap her elegant wings

and almost froze in the air from shock.

A baby sitting by the beach saw us

and covered his eyes and cried.

A cobra glided through time,

and it opened its eyes so wide

that its jaw fell to the ground.

I kept walking

with the large grey cloud above me.

Near a railroad station,

I saw a man with glasses

sitting at a restaurant table,

talking into the mirror.

He seemed to have clouds of grey

hanging above him too.

We walked on,

past more trees,

some green, some red,

some yellow.

We passed more hollow people

with eyes that held no light.

Only two happy children

were playing games.

I saw the sparkle in their eyes.

I heard their souls

singing to the wind.

On this lonely planet,

we are indeed connected.

Finally,

the grey cloud above me,

which I had carried for so long,

decided to leave me.

We embraced and said goodbye.

until he eventually became light.

Sometimes I miss my grey cloud.

I miss him
