Sue dreamed she was in an ancient forest of large and humongous trees. They called to her and tugged her heart in wonder. However, while she was there she saw a pillar of fire that went up to the sky. This cause her dread and wonder, and she sought to warn her old world of the danger but despite all effort could not reach them or get to them at all. She fiddled with opening many arrayed doors around her. Small doors. Larger doors. At last she opened a normal sized door, a Sue-sized door, and in its opening the pillar of fire went out. She awoke.

Seeing they see not

A cloud by day light

And by night a fire pillar

And now Sue sees it

Wonder or dread fire?

The fire can’t be both at once

But Sue runs to warn

Her old world and loved ones

But she can’t get there

The old world can’t see

And Sue can’t reach them no more

But she opens doors

Tiny silly doors

Seeking to somehow aid them

To warn those behind

Not the same as her

But they were her loved ones too

She just can’t reach them

Fiddle through doors

A frenzy of doors opened

And none worked at all

Then the door opened

A Sue-sized door before her

And the pillar wanes

The dread is gone now

But does the wonder remain?

Has Sue found herself

Now to walk through it

The door she has found awake

That’s the place she’s at

What to do right there?

Sue is at a cross road now

Is the wonder gone?

Why’d the pillar go?

Has she crossed a shore alone?

Can she dare cross o’er?

What’s the fire saying?

What’s the pillar telling her?

Now it’s gone away

‘Cause she found the door

And opened the door she did

And the fire went out

Oh, to find meaning

Whispered like the Tao to her

But what’s it saying?

‘I don’t know,’ won’t work

God or the devil, not both

And the wonder fades

So, dear, which side choose?

God, the devil, or the door

And the door frees you

From the choice of which

Awake, sleep, or ignore both

And it goes away

Red or blue pill, dear
