Running out of Somedays

I've walked through valleys deep enough to swallow up the sun

I've stood on mountains high enough to touch the morning light

I've lost the people I loved most, and learned the hardest way

That losing those I loved has taught me how to love deeper every day

I've learned that darkness only proves the light was always there

That a poor man's table sets a feast a rich man never sees

That a family don't have to be perfect to be perfect

And the friend who rides the valley with you — that's the one to keep

Every road, every fall, every prayer I prayed and didn't see

And it's a blessing — the same, and more, comes true for you

So I'm done saving up my somedays, done waiting on "someday soon"

I'm planting every seed I've got so something good can bloom
